So far I have been hanging here twice less than a week after first discovering this place, which a quite record for me. First of all, because I’m not exactly huge coffee lover and when it comes to selection of cafés in this town, do not expect much – the selection here sucks!
Expect a huge and friggin long post about Slottsfjell festival I attended last month. I can’t believe it has been a month since the festival, damn, and school is around the corner. Anyways, the results of bringing three disposable cameras to the festival arrived just in right time because around this time last month, I was sitting on the grass and enjoying the sunbeam with music in the background. And please excuse for my poor photographer skills.
I really miss the atmosphere – it was so, so good. People were walking around and so open and damn, I met a lot of Arctic Monkeys fans! Haha, I knew wearing an arctic monkeys band t-shirt was a good idea. Norwegian people are usually quiet and shut but at festivals, BAM, they are free and the social door is open. That’s why I love festivals so much, the atmosphere is fucking marvelous.

Razika performed there and was first up for my “to watch” list. I had already seen them once before, but they respelled my love for them again. After few minutes with Razika I had to run to the next scene to catch a good standing before Two Door Cinema Club was starting, and I got almost the first row! I guess Two Door Cinema Club was probably the best of it all, they are so good at live. Rest of the night consisted of jumping around and dancing to Crystal Castles and watching Røyksopp from someone shoulders.

Hmm, what did I do during the Friday? Oh , it rained that day, A LOT. But thank god, I was prepared with brining my funny rubber boots and a rain poncho.
MHOO, Madcon, Katy B, Biffy Clyro, and Mr Orkester were on the set list. During the Madcon we and my friends were asked to get photographed and the next thing I knew, I was texted by Simen that I was on the local newspaper next day in my hometown, Larvik Hmm, I'm celebretity now
Saturday, the last day of the festival, was a perfect day to end the festival – the weather turned nice and Kaizers Orchestra was the headliner. I saw them in April, but this time it was different. So much better than last time, even though the concert lasted shorter but this one was so perfect in many ways. Except being squeezed in the crowd but that is just part of the fun. I managed to squeeze some time for Niki and the Dove before rushing to Datarock. I wished I had some more pictures from that day, but sadly I ran out of disposable camera or neither did I bring along my DSLR.

I didn’t realize they had a Ben&Jerry stand there before the very last day at Slottsfjell, so on the hottest day in July, I had one scoop of the delightful chocolate fudge brownie and my newest favorite, Fairly nuts.
Throughout the whole Slottsfjell I had a blast time, probably the biggest happening of this year so far. I have gained so many memories and experienced in so little time, and learned what i shall bring along and not. So in other words, I'm definitely going to attend the next year’s one, and this time, they will have their 10th anniversary as a festival. Damn, that is going to be super duper good one and this time, I will bring more disposable cameras.
Fianlly, I have settled some time do this post about my Asia rip. I was supposed to do this right when I got back home last week, but my memory card has been in Oslo until today so I’m sorry about lack of posts on the blog.
So let’s start, shall we? Well, the Asia trip was beyond amazing – no regrets at all! The first stop at our Asia trip was Singapore, where we stayed for four days at a hotel named “Hotel M” which wasn’t a bad hotel at all, but those people worked behind the reception were rude. However, the hotel room was decent place to spend the night and the pool was gorgeous – spent some hours there to be honest. The first thing I noticed or felt, was the moist weather – it was so moist that I lost my all my contact lenses so I had to stick to glasses rest of the trip.
At the first day was settled our direction to Chinatown. Ahhh, I have dreamt about for Chinatown for a long time now. The vibe, the food, damn, I love Chinatown. We did almost all the dinners, breakfast, and lunch there. That’s probably why I have gained few pounds now. I found one course that I ate all the time there, redmeat with rice and of course, drinking yakult next to it. Ohman, I miss my yakult. Day two, we spent time walking around the town and taking typical tourist pictures and visiting one of Singapore’s many malls.
The thing I like about Singapore, is that it reminds me about America in many ways – the malls, the architecture, cheap food and not at least, how cheap using taxi is. We took taxi all the time, since it was bloody cheap, so using taxi in Singapore is something I really recommend if you are lazy as me. Sister and I celebrate an early 18th birthday, we took the taxi to a hotel called “Marina Bay Sands”. The architecture of the hotel is so amazing – on top of three different building it’s designed a boat that combine the three hotels underneath and on “the boat” you can see the view and eat dinner at this fancy restaurant, and that was exactly what we did. My birthday was a delight day itself. I had a “little sister and big sister day” where we spent a big part of the day walking around Ion Orchard. And after eaten a big dim sum brunch at “Paradise Dynasty”, we went to Topshop where I head Arctic Monkeys “Brick by Brick” . Listening that song while strolling around the store made my day. After searching for Tosphop for days, and finally finding it, I ended up not buying anything.
I miss Singapore a lot. I would anything for another day in Singapore.
Spent the whole Sunday afternoon with Diem, where we walked to a nice hill near her house in Sandefjord. Going for a small hiking with oxfords isn’t exactly a good idea at all. But spending one hour and half in sun was damn worth it, except for the windy weather which lead to several times with exposing of my panties. Haha! Thank god, no one where there.
I really like those days where you can just go to a place with a friend or so, and sit down and chill while time past. I’m so looking for these times in the summer, and now, since I’m leaving for Asia just in few, few days, I have squeezed much time as possible to friends, so my schedule is pretty full right now.

And oh! I have been eyeing for a perfect pair of simple black oxfords and I found these ones from Bianco. They are so lovely, and I’m so pleased with these. Next one is definitely going to be a brown pair. Urghhh, I have hooked up with oxfords!
Is the combination of food and vintage shopping along with friends. Since I had a day off from school and instead of spending time on working on homework, I took the time to take a new trip to this Goodwill store in Sandefjord since I failed on last time. Now I went on a weekday when it is open for once with my so-called Fretex-gang without Andrea(who actually spent her time on homework)
The Goodwill had very good selection of clothes, but I didn’t buy much except for a knitted sweater resembling to this. The clothes was toooo overprized even though the money goes to a good purpose. The store was candy for the eyes – the store had so much awesome stuff beside from clothes.
After looking and picking on stuff, we went to this nice café we have been also craving to visit since the both times I have been there, it has been closed of all the times I have to drop in, so two birds with one stone! So expect a bomb full of typical tourist pictures.

I can barely remember what I did in London. It has been over two months since I were there, and I know you guys must be tires of my London pictures, but I swear it’s the last London post I ever do this year. The last day we were there, was on a Thursday – very bad day if you are going to visit Portobello Road and your main focus is the flea market because it is never flea market on a Thursday. FML T_T However, I got to taste my first cupcake from the bakery, Hummingbird which was the BEST cupcake ever. Yumyum, heavenly taste of a red velvet cupcake. Later that day, we decided to have a small picnic in a park nearby and ahhhh, I have to confess my new English love; TESCO!!!! Gosh, I wish I had Tesco in the neighbourhood. We bought food from there and ELLE magazine and of course NME – one of my must buy every time I’m in England. I miss London very much, I hope it is going to be a London trip next year, but I doubt about it.
