den som leter skal finne

Photobucketden som leter skal finne//the one who looks, shall find- Fretex

Since it is winter holiday, I have pretty much dedicated part of this week to thrifting because most of the Goodwill’s are closed by the time I’m home from school, also at Saturdays (I have learned..)

Tuesday consisted of three good things: laughing, digging in clothes and eating junkfood! So yesterday, I and bunch of friends went to Tønsberg visiting the Salvation Army(named Fretex in Norway) I didn’t find much compared to my friends but I had a blast time anyway! Here is the result of three thrift-trips I have been so far this week. Nothing much but I’m very, very happy with the catch!

Edit** I almost forgot to mention that this neat girl has written a post about me! Thank you, for writing a post about me and your kind words!

A little break from the London pictures. Looking over the pictures, make me missing London like crazy! Good, its Friday today. I’m going to spend the whole Saturday evening with my sweet friend, Tringa and drink Albaninan tee which I’m very addicted to! Let me represent you for my favorite shoes at the moment, black boots from Topshop. They costed me £65, but it was totally worth it! And trust me, you guys are going to see them a lot !

i heart flea market

Photobucket

I was supposed to post this last weekend, but had never bothered to make this post before now and. Yes, I LOVE flea markets. I'm definitely a flea market person. It’s something about it, the looking and the adrenalin kick by searching after the right thing – the treasure. Last weekend I was at Østre Halsen flea market, which is one of the biggest flea market in my county and is always happening in the first week in the September. So during the weekend I was a treasure hunter. I always came 30 min before it started and was desperately trying to be the first in the line. The clothes section was in a tent and during the two days of flea market, it was crazy hot. Just imagine how it was inside the tent with 40 other people. After looking in the clothes, section it was straight forward the book section + furniture section, but I didn’t buy anything. No point, because my room is too damn small to buy furniture and I have no place to put books. Sigh, can’t wait to move on my own. But I did found many old Nancy Drew with old classic Drew covers..

But I did bought a lot of clothes for sure! I bought 2 shirts which was a see through shirt and a silk shirt, a purse, an old h&m trench coat, a floral dress, an old skirt, a pair of mittens(not pictured) and see through top(not pictured). All these I got for whopping 135 KR! I’m still amazed by the numbers. On the first day, I only spent 15 KR on the shirts and the skirt, and on the second day, I used 120 KR on the rest of the stuff. The first day was pretty cheap, but the second day was damn pricy but, still cheap. Now all the clothes are washed and I have sewn all the missing button on the shirts and shorten the lenght of the skirt and the dress.

highlights

For couple of months ago, I saw my dad wearing old Levi’s jeans which caught my eyes. I knew right away that they were perfect to cut to shorts. And in whole two months, I begged to have them but he always said no ‘cause he knew which plans I had for his jeans. Then I decided to try one more time before giving up –after seeing the picture above you can guess what he answered. His old jeans are now my shorts and I’m so H-A-P-P-Y! They are little bit big around my thighs, but I give damn right now.

And oh, the beautiful and little big briefcase above is from a flea market I went with my neighbour yesterday. Can you guess how much it cost me? Only 20 KR//$3.25!!! Pretty cheap or what? Anyway, these purchases + the sunny weekend made me super happy mood right now.

the result of playing tourist in oslo

new clothesclockwise from left: two monki tank top, zara sweater and gina tricot blouse

As the title says this is the result of playing tourist in Oslo are new clothes. After spending few weeks in Oslo, my brother took me sighting (+ shopping ofc) in Oslo and we walked for friggin 4 hours! We saw the castle, where the queen and the king of Norway live. On the top of the building, was a flag flagging, which I think means that the prime minister is on a visit or something. Plus, some of the soldiers had a little parade outside. And we weren't the only tourists in the town. As the summer is here, the town is full of tourists.

After the walking down to the famous Norwegian street, Karl Johan and dinner at TIGI FRIDAYS, we went down to the famous Opera building. Of all the times I have been in Oslo (and that is quite a lot) I have never seen or been at the Opera house. I must say, I adored the architecture and the color, white, fitted perfectly to the ocean. We walked and to the to , and the view was speechless. But it was one thing I could figure it out, they had a big sculpture of a ship few meters away the opera in the sea. Kinda weird, but I guess that it is just art. Now my legs are tired and crying for bed. cheers and have a great weekend!

A late post about the things i got from my mother when she was in the states early April. These adorable shoes are among the things i got from mama. My mama found the “kasidy” from Steve Madden I have been drooling lately and black converse shoes. Yes, I couldn’t stop myself to ask mama to buy another converse to me. Converse is the almost only thing I wear these days,’ cause I love converse and quite addicted. A little bit weird, but hey, women wear high heels, while I wear converse.

maxi

f21 maxi dress f21 maxi dress

My mom has been in sunny California and since I couldn’t join the trip because of school, she brought home with a bag full with clothes from one of my favs stores, F21! To be honest, I sent her away with a paper full with pics of the things I wanted from the store or told differently, she became my personal shopper in the us. lol.

Among the stuff in the bag, I got two maxi dresses in black and grey. I have drooled on them since I first noticed them on F21 homepage. I love maxi dresses but I noticed after trying them on that I need to sew a little bit because it is too long on me. Now I just have to wait to weather get warmer and sunnier. Ah, can’t wait! I will show the rest of the stuff I got from the states later!

basic

tank top & cross necklace tank top & cross necklace

Silje and I went to Hvaltorvet in Sandefjord to do a normal girl activity, shopping. Shocked? I normally go to Sandefjord when when I want to see a little bit “more” and I haven’t had time to take the bus to Tønsberg or Oslo. My hometown is not exactly the best place to shop, unfortunately. Oh, I was supposed to go to Oslo this weekend to visit my sister, but I had to cancel it because of preparation to Math examination. Arg, school is truly a killjoy.

I didn’t buy much. However, I did see lot things I wanted to buy, but I have to keep my fingers away from the wallet for a while, but I needed some school things to the examinations. good exuse to shop, right? I ended up with buying a basic tank top from h&m, a cross necklace from glitter and some school stuff. I have noticed that I have love for basic t-shirts. No wonder, they fit everything at the moment. Now, I need the summer to come.

what is your fav basic clothing in your wardrobe?

h&m divided leatherjacket + shirt, nike sweater, bikbok wannabe leather tights, primark tote bag

My hair is some cm shorter and my fringe is back! It’s little weird to have short hair again, but my fringe is some cm shorter than usual, so atm i'm trying to hide the fringe until it is some cm longer. Do you guys remember the dotted tights I bought in Sweden and that I managed to ruin the tights? Well, I found some new ones! I found one with hearts too, but I'm trying to save money to the garden collection and to øya festival tickets. so i left the store without the adorable heart tigths. I got so happy when I saw the stockings hanging there. Now I just have to wait to the damn snow is gone, so I can use them. Arg, I hate to live in Norway sometimes. Now i have to run, its karaoke time!

KNITTING

Last Thursday I went to the yarnshop in down town, and I decided to buy some yarn to knit some white socks so I can use to spring with my converse shoes. Since then I have been obsessed with knitting, I can’t keep my fingers away from the knitting needles and it’s keeping my days alive. Now i’m sitting here with my project in my lap and while listening to Beirut. After seeing this photo at jak&jil.com, I have decided to knit the same hat as the guy has, as soon as possible. I really need a new hat to cover my ears in this freezing winter, and white hat is perfect with everything; leatherjacket etc.
But now I have to run! I’m going to eat New Year’s dinner(the Chinese new year) with her family and I can’t wait to our Sweden trip tomorrow! I will for sure eat a lot of junkfood...

TIMES ALWAYS FLY AWAY

The weekend has gone away so fast! My weekend began with a visit to my friend, Tringa and we celebrated her birthday, which was a long time ago but I didn't have the time to pay her a visit until now. We ate all night and talked for hours! I tasted for the first time food from Kosovo and I got really addicted to their tea. I can assure you that my stomach became very stuffed that night.

What else have happened ? On Saturday I took the finally time to buy my first camera ever. I'm really pleased with my Canon EOS 1000d even though I really wanted a Canon EOS 450d but because of my economic problems, I had to buy my current camera. As you guys can see, I haven't post any pictures yet on the blog. I discover some problemes with downloading the CD's, which came with the camera. Unfortunatly, I can't solve the problems until Monday. ARGH, I was really looking for posting my pictures! Instead of posting pictures this time, I have posted one song I have on my mind all the time,
