eighteen

Photobucket

I have been eighteen for a while, but I didn’t celebrate my big day with my friends because I was in Asia that moment. So here we go! I was so lucky with weather since I had outside in my neighbor’s lovely garden since it started to rain the day before and after, few! However, it got so stressful when my parents decided to lock me outside from the house when I still needed some stuff. Argh, and this is not the first time they have done it. Some people decide to celebrate their the day big and have loads of people, I did the opposite. I love to have it small and intimate so therefore I had a dinner party with 16 of my closest friends. We had marinade rosemary chicken with potatosalad and salad and to desert we could choose between rhubarb pie with vanilla sauce or apple cake with ice cream. Shizz, I forgot to take pictures of the food, but anyways, I had a lovely evening with colorful lanterns and genius mustache

slottsfjell, baby!

Photobucket

Expect a huge and friggin long post about Slottsfjell festival I attended last month. I can’t believe it has been a month since the festival, damn, and school is around the corner. Anyways, the results of bringing three disposable cameras to the festival arrived just in right time because around this time last month, I was sitting on the grass and enjoying the sunbeam with music in the background. And please excuse for my poor photographer skills.

I really miss the atmosphere – it was so, so good. People were walking around and so open and damn, I met a lot of Arctic Monkeys fans! Haha, I knew wearing an arctic monkeys band t-shirt was a good idea. Norwegian people are usually quiet and shut but at festivals, BAM, they are free and the social door is open. That’s why I love festivals so much, the atmosphere is fucking marvelous.

We went there a day earlier to get a decent camping spot. The good thing about Slottsfjell Festival, is that the festival it only takes 35 minutes with train from Larvik to Tønsberg- the festival location, which was pretty good ‘cause Hanna, not surprisingly enough, managed to forget her tickets.

The first day of Slottsfjell, Thursday with other words, was definitely the best of those three days the festival consisted of, I wore a red short dress which I got from my Singpore trip and I tried out the “socks in shoes” trend and never again, will I wear that dress during a concert because apparently, jumping around in the crowd doesn’t work out.

All the bands I wanted desperately to see were lined up that day. The area the festival was held at was truly a gorgeous place to have it. The view from the Tårnelunden was speechless! And I really liked where they placed the stages around the area – you could walking around and suddenly pop into a concert and join other people and you could really see that the people behind it all really wanted to show and exploit its nature, and this was my first time at Slottsfjell, so i really didn't know what is was expected.

Razika performed there and was first up for my “to watch” list. I had already seen them once before, but they respelled my love for them again. After few minutes with Razika I had to run to the next scene to catch a good standing before Two Door Cinema Club was starting, and I got almost the first row! I guess Two Door Cinema Club was probably the best of it all, they are so good at live. Rest of the night consisted of jumping around and dancing to Crystal Castles and watching Røyksopp from someone shoulders.

Hmm, what did I do during the Friday? Oh , it rained that day, A LOT. But thank god, I was prepared with brining my funny rubber boots and a rain poncho.

MHOO, Madcon, Katy B, Biffy Clyro, and Mr Orkester were on the set list. During the Madcon we and my friends were asked to get photographed and the next thing I knew, I was texted by Simen that I was on the local newspaper next day in my hometown, Larvik Hmm, I'm celebretity now

Saturday, the last day of the festival, was a perfect day to end the festival – the weather turned nice and Kaizers Orchestra was the headliner. I saw them in April, but this time it was different. So much better than last time, even though the concert lasted shorter but this one was so perfect in many ways. Except being squeezed in the crowd but that is just part of the fun. I managed to squeeze some time for Niki and the Dove before rushing to Datarock. I wished I had some more pictures from that day, but sadly I ran out of disposable camera or neither did I bring along my DSLR.

One to things I really love about festivals, except for the feeling you get, is the food. Oh food, you are like a good drug to me <3. I didn’t realize they had a Ben&Jerry stand there before the very last day at Slottsfjell, so on the hottest day in July, I had one scoop of the delightful chocolate fudge brownie and my newest favorite, Fairly nuts.

Throughout the whole Slottsfjell I had a blast time, probably the biggest happening of this year so far. I have gained so many memories and experienced in so little time, and learned what i shall bring along and not. So in other words, I'm definitely going to attend the next year’s one, and this time, they will have their 10th anniversary as a festival. Damn, that is going to be super duper good one and this time, I will bring more disposable cameras.

The very best combination

Photobucket

Is the combination of food and vintage shopping along with friends. Since I had a day off from school and instead of spending time on working on homework, I took the time to take a new trip to this Goodwill store in Sandefjord since I failed on last time. Now I went on a weekday when it is open for once with my so-called Fretex-gang without Andrea(who actually spent her time on homework)

The Goodwill had very good selection of clothes, but I didn’t buy much except for a knitted sweater resembling to this. The clothes was toooo overprized even though the money goes to a good purpose. The store was candy for the eyes – the store had so much awesome stuff beside from clothes.

After looking and picking on stuff, we went to this nice café we have been also craving to visit since the both times I have been there, it has been closed of all the times I have to drop in, so two birds with one stone! So expect a bomb full of typical tourist pictures.

in the capital o-s-l-o

walking around in oslo

Once again I have played tourist in Oslo. My friend Diem came all the way from Sandefjord to visit me in Oslo. After being in Oslo with no friends ,it’s get kinda boring and lonely. I’m was super happy when she said wanted to visit me even though, I was forced to wake up 8.30 AM on a Saturday morning to pick her up from bus station.

Trying my best to be a show the good side of the capital, we walked around in Majostuen and ended up laying down in Slottsparken to take a little break from it all before continue shopping. (beware of upcoming typical tourist pictures shots)

After taking loads of picture in front of the castle, we ate ice cream( I ate ice cream while she bought Vitaminwater) at Mövenpick ice cream bar, and I must say they have THE best picaschio ice cream E-V-E-R! If you really want to eat good quality ice cream in Oslo, pay a visit Mövenpick ice cream bar at Karl Johan.I was supposed to shoe Diem the Opera house, but somthin’ disrupted the upcoming sightseeing place. But the other side, I got one skirt from Monki for only 60 kr or €7.50/$9.50 and a Blackbook top from h&m, but sadly Diem had to leave extra early then we planned, but she has lighten up my weekend and waking up 8.30 AM was worthy hell!

an early start

06-10-10 06-10-10
borrowed jacket, f21 high waisted shorts, h&m sheer tank top + leather belt and bianco canvas shoes

Have gone a couple of hours since I came home from a decent barbeque date with DH// Diem Huong, but the date was quickly interrupted of the cloudy weather. We had also fluffy marshmallows as gift to ourselves that neither of us got drawn up in oral exam with our biggest pleasure. Ahhhhhhhhhh, that means that I’m going to have few days of f this upcoming week! So you can say that my summer vacation has already started. Yeahhh, I love the thought of it.

Advice: Never use shoes like i have on the pictures above, if you are going to walk a long distance. ‘cause it is only going to give you big blisters on the back of the heel, like i have at the moment after walking all the way home in the heat to DH from Sandefjords library. btw guys, it is not me lying on the grass.. it is my friend, diem.

Have you ever had that feeling where you just want to runaway to a beach and just relax with your friends? I had that feeling today, so I asked some class friends to head to the beach near school. We started to heading to the beach just right after the lunch break started. We were there two hours, before we have to rush back to the class. To lie down on a blanket, have the sand between your feet and let the sun beam were very relaxing before next Thursday, when we find out who is going to have oral exams. Fuck.

by the seaside

by the seaside

Every year it’s a fair in my hometown before 17.May. This year they located by the seaside, which is a terrific place ‘cause the view from there is breath taking. Two of my closest friends, Linh and Helene went there to spend some time together before Linh travels to Riga, the lucky bastard. Before entering the fair, we met some people from school and we joined them to play volleyball. Ehm, the game went a little bit bad because Linh and I couldn’t stop laughing and we joked all time. But luckily I wasn’t the person, who made the ball roll down to the water. but i must say, i fell love with the seaside. i will certaintly spend more time there in the summer.

I didn’t take any ride, though. Try to save the roll coaster feelings to 17. May instead, but I did bought candy floss like I usually do when I go to fairs. I never get tired of getting sugar overdose. Oh, what a happy feeling. and yes, i use glasses and i hate it.

a trip to the local junk foodshop and the park

05-06-10 05-06-10
h&m faux leather jacket, only trousers, f21oversized tee, glitter necklaces + sunglasses and primark canvas shoes

See, just for once I didn’t wear converse. It’s little bit hard when over 50% of your shoe collection consists of converse. I need some variation next time I buy shoes.LOL. In one of lessons on Wednesday, Linh started to babble about eating baked potato and every time I hear conversations about food, I get the thought stuck in my head for hours and make me whining after whatever food, which is one of my bad habits. Can you guess what I did in my long school break the next day? Eating baked potato with Linh. Congrats. Anyway, I did manage to take outfitpics in a small park near the old school, though.

The baked potato was yummy! Ah, it has been a while time since I ate baked potato and rare. This time I had corn with ham and cheese and a lot of sour cream while Linh had corn and chicken with sour cream. This will not be the last time, i'm going to return for sure ! Update: thank you linh, for being my saving angel; ) u rock on taking pics
